Itineraries

Day 1

Arrive at Pune and City Tour

Meet and greet our representative at the airport, then transfers to hotel and check in. Local sightseeing in Pune. Shaniwarwada, a palace fort was known as the prime ministers seat of Martha empire, which was built in 17th century by Peshwa Bajirao (the first). Visit Raja Kelkar museum, Dagadu Sheth Ganpati, Kasba Ganpati, Pataleshwar Temple, Agakhan palace. Overnight stay at Pune.

Day 2

Pune – Ambaghat (234 km / 5 hrs )

After breakfast proceed to Amba ghat which is a mountain pass on Ratnagiri-Kolhapur road at a height of 2000 ft above sea-level. This ghat lies in the Sahyadri mountain ranges known as a part of Western Ghat and has picturesque mountain-scapes and a pleasant climate. You can cover Pawankhind and Manoli Dam Backwaters. The area has also become a venue for paragliding sport. Overnight stay at Amba ghat.

Day 3

Ambaghat to Ganpatipule (100 km / 2.5 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Ganpatipule & enjoy the scenic beauty of western ghats. Enroute visit to Marleshwara Siva Temple which is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Siva built around 12th century CE and the Waterfall nearby. Then transfer to Ganpatipule. There after visit to Ancient Ganpatipule Ganesh temple. The temple of Swayambhu (self-originated) Ganesh is much frequented by thousands every year. The God is considered to be the Paschim Dwardevta (Western Sentinel God of India) and overnight stay at Ganpatipule.

Day 4

Ganpatipule Local Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to visit “Prachin Konkan“ the artificial village made by local people to exhibit the lifestyle of kokani people. Then to Ratnagiri, the Capital of district of Ratnagiri and the major Economic City of Konkan. Also the birth place of revolutionary freedom fighter – Mr. Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Enroute visit to aquarium Thiba palace, Patit Pavan Mandir, Ratna Durga Sea castel. There after visit to Swarupanada Swami Math at Pawas. Overnight stay at Ganpatipule.

Day 5

Ganpatipule to Tarkarli (200 Km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast departe to Malvan and visit to Sindhudurga sea fort. Sindhudurg - A sea fort. This impressive Sindhudurg (meaning Ocean Fort), was built in 1664 by the great 17th century Maratha King, Shivaji on "Kurte" island to the glory of the Maratha Empire. The construction of a sea fort was a Stupendous task, which is said to be completed in mere two and a half years. Over 2000 khandis (4000 pounds) of iron were used for casting and the foundation stones were laid down firmly in lead. It is said that the rocks of the same island were used to built the fort. Three sweet water wells are present in Sindhudurg Fort. Overnight stay at Tarkarli.

Day 6

Tarkarli - Malavan Local Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to Malvan. Enroute see beautiful Konkani villages then to visit Rock Garden, Rameshwar Temple, Devbaug Beach, and leisure time to enjoy water sports. Overnight stay at Tarkarli.

Day 7

Tarkarli to Kolhapur ( 170 km/ 4 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Kolhapur via Gaganbawada. Enjoy panoramic view of sahyadri ranges or the western ghats, and visit Mahalakshami Temple, which is one of the Shakti Peethas listed in various puranas of Hinduism. According to these writings, a Shakti Peetha is a place associated with Shakti, the goddess of power. The Kolhapur Shakti Peetha is of special religious significance being one of the six places where it is believed that one can either obtain salvation from desires or have them fulfilled. The temple takes its name from Mahalakshmi, the consort of Vishnu, and it is believed that the divine couple reside in the area. Also visit to Maratha Kings palace and Rankala Lake if the time permits.

Day 8

Kolhapur to Pune (250 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Pune. Respective departure drop at Pune Airport /Railway Station.
