For the followers of Lord Shiva there are 12 Jyotirlingas situated in different parts of India. The five most important of these 12 Jyotirlingas are located in Maharashtra. It is believed that Lord Shiva revealed himself to hid devotees in the form of light, so these pilgrims are named as Jyotirlinga.

The five Jyotirlingas of Maharashtra are Aundha Nagnath, Bhimashankar, Grishneshwar, Parali Vajinath, and Trimbakeshwar.

Itineraries

Day 1

Mumbai - Bhimashankar - Ahmednagar

Early morning proceed from Mumbai to Bhimashankar. Visit Bhimashankar an ancient shrine situated in the Sahyadri. It is one of the well known Jyotirlinga amongst the 12 jyotirlingas situated all over India. Bhimashankar is the source of river Bhima. After Darshan proceed to Ahmednagar.
Night stay at Ahmednagar.

Day 2

Ahmednagar - Parali Vajinath - Ambajogai

Early morning proceed to Ambajogai – Yogeshwari, a heritage temple dedicated to Goddess Yogeshwari. The town named Ambajogai by goddess Ambabai. Later visit Parali Vajinath Jyotirling temple. Also known as Baidyanath dham. Arrive at Ambajogai in the evening.
Night stay at Ambajogai.

Day 3

Ambajogai - Aundha Nagnath - Aurangabad

Proceed to Aurangabad. Enroute visit Aundha Naganath Jyotirling Temple, which is supposed to be the eighth of the twelve jyotirlingas in India. Arrive at Aurangabad in the evening.
Night stay at Aurangabad.

Day 4

Aurangabad City Tour

Proceed for Aurangabad city tour which includes - Grishneshwar Joytirling Temple – which is believed as the last or 12th Jyotirlinga on the earth. Ellora caves, Bhadra Maruti temple - the only sleeping Maruti idol in India, Pawanchakki and Bibi ka Maqbara.

Day 5

Aurangabad - Shirdi

Proceed to Shirdi. Evening visit Sai Baba Temple.

Day 6

Departure from Shirdi

Proceed to Mumbai. Enroute visit Trimbakeshwar - one of the 12 Jyotirlings. Kunda (sacred pond) in the temple premises is the source of the Godavari River, the longest river in peninsular India.
Tour concludes.
